2015 has indeed been an eventful year for PIKOM and the ICT industry.

We are pleased to report that despite the many challenges faced in 2015, the ICT industry has continued to grow and we look forward to further growth in 2016 despite the challenging external environment, PIKOM has in store many exciting avenues to capitalise on industry networks and membership affiliations for 2016.

In 2015, PIKOM, as the Champion of the ICT sector and the Voice of the Industry, had a very productive year. PIKOM was represented in key government agencies that formulated plans for the 11th Malaysia Plan, Big Data and IoT initiatives, human capital development, promoting broadband uptake and ICT curriculum in universities. PIKOM also brought to you many events and programmes throughout 2015. Highlights include:

ICT Awards Night

More than 1,100 senior executives from the region attended the awards ceremony which included the coveted MSC Malaysia APICTA Awards, PIKOM ICT Leadership Awards and ASOCIO Awards.

International Engagements with WITSA and ASOCIO

PIKOM hosted the ASOCIO Summit for the first time since 1998. More than 700 delegates attended the 2-day conference.

Outsourcing Malaysia (OM)

A strong and solid initiative to position and promote Malaysia as the choice location and provider of high-value global business services.

Research Publications

The annual ICT Job Market Report and ICT Strategic Review continue to be well sought after as the definitive barometer on the pulse of the ICT industry.


More than 110 CIOs from the user community meet and share their ideas periodically. A platform for the vendors to meet with the key decision makers in ICT.

Project Leadership Certification

A five-day intensive Project Management training by PIKOM. Participants will earn 45 PDUs from PMI after completion of the course.

Individual PIKOM Membership

Membership extended to individuals to expand and grow the association’s representation of a broader segment in Malaysia. Through this approach, PIKOM will be better positioned to enhance its talent pool, increase network, while looking to bring greater awareness and understanding of how ICT can play a pivotal role in life and business.

Rebranding Retail – Introducing PIKOM Fair 3.0

The yearly PIKOM Fair will be re-invented, bringing it to a new level of excitement and relevance to include the corporate business requirements while showcasing the trends and thought leadership that ICT will drive across the key Malaysian industries.

C-Level Programme – Breaking the Verticals & Embracing Integration

Exclusive C-level, Executive Immersion Programmes will be tailored for corporations to learn, experience and explore business values, opportunities and insights in the Silicon Valley and similar technology-driven economic ‘hotbeds’ at international sites.

2016 is poised to be exciting and we look forward to your support on this journey. The year will be challenging given the various socio-political and economic developments but by leveraging on the value of strategic association and partnership, by enjoying the benefits of membership, one is able to continue growing and be part of a thriving ICT industry in 2016.
